Warragul Rail Precinct Upgrade
Thiess Weekend Rail Closure 23 to 26 May 2014 The $26 million Warragul Rail Precinct Upgrade is the largest regional public transport project in Victoria. VicRoads South Eastern Projects is delivering this project on behalf of Public Transport Victoria. The project involves a new road under rail underpass west of the Warragul CBD, the creation of 200 new car parking spaces, a bus interchange, and a new pedestrian structure connecting these to the station. The contractor delivering these works is Thiess Contractors.
Two massive cranes, five back-to-back 12 hour shifts with about 80 people on site and months of detailed planning paid off when the Warragul Railway Precinct Upgrade reached a major milestone recently.
